New York City is one of the best places to be no matter the season. But NYC really puts on their holiday best for the season. The only downside, most of the areas are COVERED with tourists. Check out of favorite areas to go to during the Month of December to avoid the tourists and enjoy your holiday fun-filled day!
Have a Drink (or 2) at Rolf’s!
Rolf’s creates a magical, festive, canopy each year filled with ornaments and decorations. It’s a must go to stop for your pictures and to enjoy a festive eggnog or wonderful warn mulled wine. Rolf’s tends to get pretty busy so make sure to get there relatively early for a spot!
Sing Along At Cafe Un Deux Trois
We know we have some musical theatre fans in our audience. So this is the place for you! Cafe Un Deux Trois loves when the entire restaurant joins in (it’s actually encouraged)! If you have the time before your show, stop by to grab a quick bite or drink and enjoy the sound of the holidays!
Christmas Cocktails At Mace
For the fifth year in a row, East Village cocktail haunt Mace is turning into North Pole hot spot, Miracle on 9th Street, an intimate and kitschy spot to sip straight from a Santa mug amid colorful Christmas lights. And don’t worry, there’s even a Hanukkah Hideaway nook with dreidels galore.
Ice Skating At Bryant Park
Tourists go ice skating at Central Park. YOU go ice skating at one of the cutest (and less expensive) ice rinks in the city. The Bryant Park Ice Rink opened their stylish rink in Bryant Park, so dress your best and try not to get drunk before you slip on your skates. If you have your own, you even get to skate for free! If not, the skate rentals are very cheap, bring along your friends and enjoy!
Lounge In A Yurt
Across town, at the Standard East Village, savvy New Yorkers are opting for fondue and hot spiked drinks at the hotel’s special winter garden. Lounge in your own private yurt and indulge in all the melted cheese goodness you can handle. And while you are there, don’t forget to check out the rest of the Winter Village at The Standard!
Have a wonderful Holiday and we hope you enjoy the city during the holidays as much as we do!
